Not Our House is an Afrosurreal psychological drama exploring the alienation of BIPOC students within predominantly white academic and social spaces. As both one of the producers and director, Sophia Jade led a team of over 50 cast and crew members—spanning Yale, NYU, Emerson, Berklee, and Columbia—to bring this vision to life. The producing team independently raised a $2,000 budget, organized a production pipeline from writing to pre to post-, and built a cross-functional marketing and editing team. NOH team also launched a dedicated Discord server to manage remote collaboration and coordination. The film prioritizes authentic representation, both on-screen and behind the scenes, with a majority BIPOC cast and crew.
